A bowl of simple design with bold black surface and neutral rim. Acclaimed Japanese potter Akio Nukaga crafts one-of-a-kind works of art for use in daily life. Modernist, with distinctly Japanese roots, the assured shapes and expressive surfaces are grounded with an earthy, rustic texture. Each one of Akio Nukaga’s signature pleated designs are thrown and carved by hand at his countryside studio in Kasama, Japan.
